Chip Reese was born in Dayton, Ohio. He graduated from Dartmouth College with a degree in economics and was on his way to Stanford to attend law school. On his way to there, Chip stopped in Las Vegas and won $60,000 in a Seven Card Stud tournament. He just kept playing cards and ended up never going to law school.

When Chip Reese arrived in Vegas he had $400 in his pocket and within two years he worked his bankroll up to over one million dollars.

Chip is one of the best cash game players in the world today. You can find Chip playing poker in the highest stake games in the world. He did so well playing in cash games that he felt tournaments were a waste of time. But with the poker explosion around tournaments now days, he decided to start getting back into them.

Chip Reese has 2 WSOP braceletts. In 1991, Chip became the youngest person ever to be inducted into Pokers Hall of Fame. He also collaborated with Doyle Brunson on Brunson's Super/System book.

1978, WSOP First Place, Seven Card Split

1982, WSOP First Place, Seven Card Stud

1991, Youngest Player ever to be inducted into Poker Hall of Fame.

2004, WPT Fourth Place, No Limit Hold' Em Championship.
